The firm was hired to address the issue of handicapped accessibility at the Town of Ballston Community Library located in Burnt Hills. Exhaustive study revealed that making the library accessible rendered an already undersized facility virtually useless. Various schemes to add square footage to the existing building were conceived, but proved to be ineffective due to cost factors and code issues. The solution was to construct a new facility on the existing site while maintaining use of the existing facility. Once the building was constructed, the existing facility would be razed. This was logistically difficult due to the extremely small site. The estimated cost of this project: $ 1,300,000. Completion date: June 2001
